The Social Impact Investments International Conference is back in Rome for the third edition on 5 and 6 December. The “Conference” was launched in 2017 by the Department of Management of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” as an annual meeting for international scholars, practitioners and policy makers involved in the social impact finance field.
The Conference offers publication opportunities and engages high standing scholars and practitioners. The 2017 Conference hosted the Keynote Speach of Emanuel Bohbot, Research Director of Social Finance Israel, while the 2018 Conference hosted the Keynote Speach of Irene Basile, Policy Analyst of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).The 2019 Conference is organized by the University “La Sapienza”, Rome in collaboration with the Center for Positive Finance of Unitelma Sapienza, and it is promoted by several Network Partners.
The first day of the Conference, on December 5, will have a more academic edge and will be hosted by the Faculty of Economics of “La Sapienza” with two Key Note Speakers, experts in sustainability: Philippe Krueger from the University of Geneva and Andreas Hoepner from the University of University College Dublin, School of Business.
On December 6, the Conference will be hosted at the Campidoglio in Rome. On this occasion a Memorandum of Understanding between the Municipality of Rome and the University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza will be presented. The day will close with the presentation of the prizes to the best papers and the presentation of the Fund for Social Innovation launched by the Department of Public Administration of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, dedicated to social impact projects of Municipalities and Metropolitan Cities.
