On November the 22nd in Milan the Tiresia Impact Outlook 2019 has been presented to outline the state of social impact financing in Italy, while giving out for some considerations on the future of a market worth 8 billions Euros.
Tiresia (Technology Innovation and REsearch for Social ImpAct) is the International Research Centre, created by the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, which carries out research in the field of innovation and social impact.
To construct the Outlook, Centro Tiresia analysed 58 structured interviews that were addressed to professionals both on the supply side and on the demand side of capital. An accurate methodology made it possible to identify those who declared to carry out or intend to carry out activities related to the sector of impact finance in Italy, i.e. those who have contributed to the market through equity and credit instruments.
For Tiresia, the Italian financial ecosystem for impact shows some signs of vitality and innovation. Some of the sector’s stakeholders such as Asvis, the Forum della Finanza Sostenibile, the Forum del Terzo Settore and the Social Impact Agenda for Italy (SIA) are working in this direction, playing an advocacy role for the Italian ecosystem in the international community.
